Who can take part
- You are 18 years old or older
- You have been diagnosed with partial-onset seizures (a type of seizure that starts in one part of the brain)
- You are newly diagnosed and have not yet started any seizure medicine, OR you have taken carbamazepine or oxcarbazepine and it hasn't worked or you couldn't tolerate it
- You are not allergic to eslicarbazepine
- You are not pregnant or breastfeeding
- You or your legal representative can give informed consent, or if you cannot, a healthcare professional authorizes your participation
