Predicting kidney problems in liver cirrhosis with fluid buildup

Decompensated Cirrhosis

Part of Digestive system, Kidney & urinary clinical trials.

This study aims to create a formula to predict which patients with liver cirrhosis and fluid in the belly might develop kidney issues. It uses routine lab tests to help doctors identify risks early and plan better care.

Albumin infusion for cirrhosis-related kidney injury

This study tests whether giving albumin through a vein helps people with cirrhosis who have a certain type of kidney problem (called acute kidney injury). The goal is to see if albumin works better than a simple saltwater solution in improving kidney function.

NCT07087041Not yet recruiting
Predicting liver recovery with spleen stiffness and blood tests

This study looks at whether measuring spleen stiffness and simple blood tests can predict if the liver will recover in people with decompensated cirrhosis. It may help doctors know which patients can improve with treatment.

Blood and urine tests to predict kidney failure in cirrhosis

This study checks new blood and urine tests to predict who with advanced liver scarring (cirrhosis) will develop hepatorenal syndrome, a serious kidney problem. The results may help doctors spot risk earlier, especially for people being referred for a liver transplant.

Kidney problems in patients with liver cirrhosis

This study looks at how liver cirrhosis affects kidney health. If you have cirrhosis, researchers will check your kidney function and track changes over a short time to learn more about kidney problems in people with cirrhosis.

Predicting death risk in liver cirrhosis patients with acute kidney injury

This study looks at people with liver cirrhosis who develop acute kidney injury while in the hospital, to understand what factors might increase the risk of dying within 30 days. It aims to help doctors better predict and possibly prevent these deaths.

NCT07452484Not yet recruiting
Fluid therapy monitoring for kidney injury in cirrhosis

This trial studies a method to help doctors detect and manage kidney injury in people with cirrhosis (liver scarring). It aims to find the best way to treat kidney problems that happen suddenly, which may help improve outcomes.
