Gum disease treatment around dental implants
Part of Mouth & dental clinical trials.
This trial compares two ways to treat gum disease around dental implants (peri-implantitis) and natural teeth (periodontitis), using either a non-surgical approach or a non-surgical approach plus an antibiotic gel. It aims to see which method works better to reduce inflammation and improve oral health.

This trial studies people with advanced gum disease (periodontitis) or gum inflammation around dental implants (peri-implantitis), and compares them with people who have healthy gums. The goal is to understand inflammation and how it relates to these dental conditions.
This study looks at the bacteria living in deep gum pockets around implants or teeth during different types of gum surgery. It may help determine which surgical approach is best for your kind of gum infection.
This study compares two non-surgical procedures to treat gum disease around dental implants. It aims to find which method works better to reduce infection and improve gum health, without needing surgery.
This trial tests a natural gel to treat gum disease around dental implants. It may help reduce bleeding and bone loss around implants.
This trial tests whether adding a soft-tissue gum graft procedure can improve healing and reduce inflammation in moderate to severe peri-implantitis (inflammation and tissue damage around a dental implant). It may help patients by targeting both the gum tissue and the area around the implant that is bleeding or has deep pockets.
This trial tests if a special light treatment (photodynamic therapy) can help treat infection and inflammation around dental implants without surgery. It may be an option for people with mild to moderate peri-implantitis who don't smoke and have healthy gums otherwise.
