Heart rate changes during altitude travel in pulmonary hypertension

High Altitude EffectsHigh AltitudePulmonary Vascular DiseasePulmonary Arterial Hypertension (PAH)Heart Rate Variability (HRV)ECG Abnormalities

Part of Heart & circulation, Lungs & breathing clinical trials.

This study looks at how your heart rate changes when you travel from high altitude (about 2850 meters) down to sea level and back up again. It may help doctors understand if such travel is safe for people with pulmonary hypertension.

NCT07804524Not yet recruiting
High altitude effects on pulmonary hypertension

This study compares how the heart and lungs respond at high altitude versus sea level in people with pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH), a type of high blood pressure in the lungs. It may help doctors understand if living at high altitude affects symptoms and treatment.

Pulmonary hypertension study at high altitude

This study looks at how the heart and lungs respond when people with pulmonary hypertension travel from low to high altitude. It may help doctors understand how to better care for patients living at high altitudes.

NCT07804576Not yet recruiting
Lung function at sea level vs. high altitude in pulmonary hypertension

This study compares how well your lungs work when you are at high altitude (your home) versus when you visit sea level. It aims to understand how altitude affects people with pulmonary arterial hypertension, which is high blood pressure in the lungs.

NCT07801846Not yet recruiting
Heart rhythm changes during altitude travel in healthy highlanders

This study looks at how your heart rate changes as you travel from high altitude (2850 meters) down to sea level and back up again. It aims to understand how healthy people's heart rhythm adapts to altitude changes, which might help in future care for those with heart or lung issues.

Zurich
NCT07801963Not yet recruiting
Sleep assessment in pulmonary arterial hypertension at high versus low altitude

This study compares sleep quality and breathing patterns in people with pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) who live at high altitude versus those at sea level. It aims to understand how altitude affects sleep in PAH, which could help improve care for patients living in high-altitude areas.

Zurich
NCT07804485Not yet recruiting
Lung blood pressure at high altitude versus sea level

This study looks at how your heart and lungs handle the thin air at high altitudes compared to sea level. It aims to understand normal changes in blood pressure in your lungs, which may help people with certain heart or lung conditions.
