Heart protection with empagliflozin during breast cancer chemotherapy
Treatments studied
Part of Cancer, Heart & circulation clinical trials.
This trial tests whether empagliflozin, a diabetes drug, can protect the heart from damage caused by doxorubicin chemotherapy in women with breast cancer. If you are starting this treatment, taking empagliflozin might help keep your heart healthy during and after chemotherapy.

This trial tests whether a daily pill called dapagliflozin can help protect the heart from damage caused by doxorubicin chemotherapy in people being treated for early-stage breast cancer. If you are starting doxorubicin and have a healthy heart, this might lower your risk of heart problems later.
This trial checks how well the heart handles anthracycline chemotherapy in breast cancer patients. It helps doctors find early signs of heart side effects so they can keep you safe during treatment.
This trial tests whether two different diabetes drugs (SGLT-2 inhibitors and DPP-4 inhibitors) can help prevent heart damage that anthracycline chemotherapy can cause in breast cancer patients. You would receive one of the two drugs during your treatment to see if it protects your heart.
This trial tests whether taking linagliptin, a diabetes medicine, can help protect the heart during chemotherapy with doxorubicin. It might reduce the risk of heart damage caused by this chemo drug.
This study tests whether a blood pressure pill, telmisartan, can protect the heart during chemotherapy for breast cancer. It may help reduce the risk of heart damage caused by doxorubicin (a common chemo drug).
This trial tests if the drug dapagliflozin can prevent heart damage caused by anthracycline chemotherapy in breast cancer patients. It aims to see if taking the drug during chemo helps keep your heart healthy.
