AI-assisted heart sound screening for children in schools
Part of Genetic & congenital, Heart & circulation clinical trials.
This trial tests whether an artificial intelligence (AI) program can help doctors hear and spot heart problems in children, compared to listening with a stethoscope alone. It takes place in schools in Qinghai Province, and all children get a heart ultrasound (echocardiogram) to check for congenital heart disease.

Who can take part
- Your child must be between birth and 18 years old.
- Your child must be enrolled in a school taking part in the heart screening program in Qinghai Province.
- You or your child's legal guardian must sign a consent form (or approve an electronic consent) and, when needed, your child must agree to take part.
- Your child must be able to cooperate with listening to heart sounds, having heart sounds recorded, and an echocardiogram (an ultrasound picture of the heart).
- Your child must not have already had surgery or a catheter procedure to fix congenital heart disease.
- You must be willing to give medical history and, if recommended, follow-up information.

This study uses an artificial intelligence (AI) model to help doctors identify heart problems in unborn babies by analyzing fetal heart ultrasound images. It aims to improve early detection and diagnosis of congenital heart disease.
This study tests whether doctors in the emergency department or heart clinic can use a small ultrasound device to check heart health in children who already have a heart condition. It also tests if artificial intelligence can help read the images. This may lead to faster and easier heart checks for children.
This study uses artificial intelligence (AI) to look at heart signals (electrocardiography or ECG) and ultrasound images of the heart to check for heart disease. It aims to better understand heart health in different groups of people.
This study looks at how well a computer system can check children's health by listening to body sounds, like those from the heart, lungs, or belly. It is testing an AI system to see if it works well as an extra check alongside regular medical care.
This study uses artificial intelligence to help evaluate heart ultrasounds. It is testing whether AI can accurately measure heart function in adults with various heart conditions, such as coronary disease, valve problems, high blood pressure, atrial fibrillation, heart failure, or cardiomyopathy.
This trial uses artificial intelligence to analyze heart ultrasound images. It aims to see if AI can detect heart function better than standard methods. You may be eligible if you are a cardiology patient having an ultrasound and can return for extra blood pressure checks.
