AI-assisted 3D imaging for lung surgery planning

Lung CancerArtifical IntelligenceSurgery for Primary Lung Cancer

Part of Cancer, Lungs & breathing clinical trials.

This trial tests whether a computer program that creates a 3D model of your lungs from a CT scan helps doctors plan your lung surgery more precisely. The goal is to make the surgery safer and more effective.

Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You are scheduled for surgery that removes a section of your lung (called a segmentectomy, lobectomy, bilobectomy, or pneumonectomy).
  • You have had a CT scan with contrast that is clear enough to build a 3D model, with very thin slices (1.5 mm or less).
  • You are willing and able to give written consent to participate.

NCT06988579Recruiting
AI-assisted lung cancer screening study

This trial tests whether using AI to help radiologists read lung CT scans can find cancer earlier and lower healthcare costs. You may qualify if you are at risk for lung cancer and have not been screened recently.

NCT07280559Not yet recruiting
AI-assisted CT scan for lung cancer screening

This study uses an AI computer program to help doctors read low-dose CT scans of the chest to find lung cancer early. It is for people at higher risk due to family history, smoking, or general health check-ups.

Taipei, Taiwan
NCT07829640Not yet recruiting
AI help for doctors reading chest CT scans

This study tests whether an AI tool can help doctors read chest CT scans more accurately across the entire lung cancer care process. If you are a doctor who reads chest CT scans, you may be able to join and help improve cancer detection.

NCT05704920Recruiting
AI-based support for lung cancer screening scans

This trial tests whether using artificial intelligence (computer pattern-recognition) with lung screening images can help identify people who may have lung cancer earlier. It’s meant for people at higher risk because of their smoking history, who can follow the screening steps.

Nice, Alpes-maritimes
NCT05426135Recruiting
AI tool to assess cancer risk and guide care

This study tests an artificial intelligence (AI) system that uses your health information and medical images to better judge cancer risk and support diagnosis and treatment decisions. It may help doctors make more consistent assessments by combining clinical records, imaging, and other lab-style data.

Wuhan, Hubei
NCT07234604Not yet recruiting
3D lung modeling for small lung cancer surgery

This study tests whether 3D models made from non-contrast CT scans are accurate enough to guide minimally invasive lung segmentectomy (removing a small piece of the lung) for early-stage lung cancer. It may help certain patients avoid the need for contrast dye.
