Who can take part

  • You must be 45 to 74 years old (men) or 40 to 74 (women) if you have a parent, sibling, or child with lung cancer.
  • OR you must be 50 to 74 years old with a heavy smoking history (at least 20 pack-years) and currently smoke or quit less than 15 years ago.
  • OR you can be 40 or older and coming in for a routine health check-up.
  • You cannot be pregnant.
  • You must not have had a chest CT or other high-radiation chest scan in the past year.
  • You must not have had lung cancer in the last three years or any other serious illness that limits life expectancy to less than five years.
