Laser procedure before radiation for prostate cancer symptoms
This trial looks at whether doing a prostate “laser procedure” (called HoLEP) before starting radiation and hormone therapy can improve severe urinary symptoms and reduce urine retention problems. It is for people with prostate cancer who are planning radiation plus hormone treatment and who have significant bladder/urinary trouble.

Laser light with or without oxygen gel for mouth sores from radiation
This study tests two ways to treat painful mouth sores caused by radiation therapy for head and neck cancer. Half of the participants will receive laser light therapy alone, and the other half will receive laser light plus an oxygen gel applied to the sores. The goal is to see if adding the oxygen gel helps the sores heal faster and reduces pain.
