Treatment study for complex ankle fractures with cartilage damage
This research studies how to treat severe ankle fractures (called pilon fractures) that damage the joint surface. Researchers will use external fixation (a temporary metal frame outside the skin) to stabilize your ankle while they plan surgery to repair the cartilage damage.
