Ultrasound to predict blood pressure drop during prostate surgery
This study uses ultrasound to measure how much the veins in your leg and belly collapse when you breathe, to see if this can predict a drop in blood pressure during spinal anesthesia for prostate surgery. If you are eligible, you may help doctors better manage your blood pressure during surgery.

Comparing two drugs to prevent low blood pressure during spinal anesthesia
This study tests if giving hydrocortisone (a type of steroid) or ondansetron (an anti-nausea drug) before spinal anesthesia can better prevent low blood pressure during surgery for your belly or lower leg.

Dexamethasone for spinal anesthesia side effects
This trial tests if a steroid called dexamethasone can prevent low blood pressure after spinal anesthesia for orthopedic surgery. If you are having hip, knee, or other bone surgery with spinal anesthesia and are otherwise healthy, this study may help reduce side effects.
