- NCT07273994RecruitingPhase 4
Comparing two amiodarone doses after heart shock treatment for atrial fibrillation
This trial tests two different ways of taking amiodarone (a heart rhythm medicine) to keep your heart in a normal rhythm after a procedure called electrical cardioversion. It's designed for people with persistent atrial fibrillation (a fast, irregular heartbeat lasting at least 7 days).
BarcelonaAges 18 years+ - NCT06680869RecruitingPhase 3
Early amiodarone for shockable cardiac arrest
This trial tests whether giving the heart rhythm medicine amiodarone early after a shockable cardiac arrest improves survival. If you had a cardiac arrest due to a heart rhythm problem that didn't stop after the first shock, this study may be for you.
Portland, OregonAges 18 years+ - NCT06067438RecruitingPhase 2
Amiodarone to Prevent Irregular Heartbeat After Esophageal Cancer Surgery
This trial tests if amiodarone, a medication that helps keep your heart rhythm steady, can prevent a type of irregular heartbeat called atrial fibrillation after surgery to remove part of your esophagus. If you are having this surgery (called minimally invasive esophagectomy or MIE) for cancer or other esophagus problems, you may be able to join.
Portland, OregonAges 18 years+ - NCT05841056RecruitingPhase 3
Short amiodarone treatment to prevent new heart rhythm after surgery
This trial studies whether a short course of amiodarone started right after heart surgery can reduce problems from new-onset atrial fibrillation (a common fast heart rhythm) or flutter. It may help some patients avoid ongoing rhythm issues and improve recovery soon after discharge.
