Buprenorphine-naloxone microdosing versus standard dosing after ED discharge
This study compares a smaller “microdose” starting method versus the usual starting dose of buprenorphine/naloxone for people with opioid use disorder when they are discharged from the emergency department. It may help find a safer, easier way to start treatment right after an ED visit and avoid problems caused by starting too early.
