Recruiting studies
- NCT04913805RecruitingPhase 2
Study for HFpEF using heart pressure and energy signals
This Phase 2 study tests how matching heart “filling pressure” and heart muscle “energy use” may improve understanding or treatment of HFpEF, a type of heart failure with preserved pumping strength. You may be asked to have heart scans/tests and follow a study plan if your symptoms and test results fit.
Philadelphia, PennsylvaniaAges 18 years+ - NCT07172425Recruiting
Testing nitrate-enriched foods for blood vessel health
This study tests whether adding nitrate (a natural compound found in leafy greens and beets) to foods can boost the body’s levels of nitric oxide, which helps blood vessels relax and improve blood flow. If you’re a healthy adult, you may be able to join to help researchers learn how diet affects your blood vessels.
LondonAges 18–60 - NCT05138575RecruitingPhase 2
Testing SGLT2 pill and potassium nitrate for heart failure with preserved EF
This trial studies whether two medicines—an SGLT2 inhibitor and potassium nitrate—can improve symptoms and heart function in people with heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF). It focuses on people who still have signs of “stiff” or high filling pressure in the heart despite a normal-ish ejection fraction.
Philadelphia, PennsylvaniaAges 18 years+ - NCT06627790RecruitingPhase 3
Herbal mouthwash for tooth sensitivity
This study tests a herbal mouthwash containing potassium nitrate against a potassium oxalate mouthwash to see which better reduces tooth sensitivity. If you have sensitive teeth, you may be eligible to try a new rinse that could help reduce pain.

Common questions
- Are there clinical trials studying Potassium Nitrate?
- Yes. Clin2 currently lists 4 recruiting studies that include Potassium Nitrate, drawn from the U.S. registry and rewritten for real people so you can see what each is testing and who it's for.
- How do I know if I qualify for a Potassium Nitrate trial?
- Each study lists its own eligibility criteria — rules about condition, age, and prior treatments. On every Clin2 trial page we explain these in plain language and offer a short, optional pre-screen for a fit read. The study team makes the final decision.
- Is Potassium Nitrate an approved treatment?
- A drug being studied in a trial may be investigational (still being tested) or already approved and being studied for a new use. Each study page explains what phase it's in.
