Understanding lupus subgroups to improve treatment

This research study aims to better understand systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), an autoimmune disease where the body's immune system attacks its own tissues. Researchers will evaluate patients with lupus, study genetic factors, and perform optional imaging tests to learn how the disease affects blood vessels and the heart.

This study tests whether a specific lupus “low disease activity” target (called LLDAS) works the same way in people across the Asia-Pacific region. It may help doctors use clearer goals to track how well lupus is controlled.

This study looks at a “treat-to-target” approach for people with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) to help control symptoms to a specific goal. It may help guide medication changes when lupus is not fully calm yet.

This study looks at how lupus relates to “accelerated aging” and may help researchers better understand disease effects over time. You might be able to join if you have systemic lupus and are able to consent and participate.

This research study collects samples and information from people with rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, or scleroderma, plus healthy volunteers, to better understand how the immune system works in these conditions. By comparing these groups, researchers hope to find new ways to treat and manage autoimmune diseases.
