Molecular testing of head and neck tumors

Head and Neck Neoplasms

Part of Cancer clinical trials.

This study looks at head and neck tumors using molecular and genetic tests. It may help doctors learn more about what drives different tumors and how they might respond to treatment, using biopsy or stored tumor tissue.

Who can take part

  • You have a tumor (cancerous or not) in the head or neck, or doctors strongly suspect one
  • You are planning a biopsy and/or surgery to remove part or all of the tumor, or you already have saved tumor tissue
  • If you don’t have a new biopsy/surgery planned, you must have stored tumor samples (either paraffin blocks or frozen tissue)
  • You must have enough tissue for both the usual medical testing and the study’s testing

NCT06905145Recruiting
Molecular testing for advanced head and neck cancer

This trial is for people with head and neck cancer that has not spread to distant parts of the body. It is a non-treatment study that will look at the molecular features of your tumor from a biopsy sample to help guide future treatment decisions.

NCT07190573Recruiting
Precision medicine study for head and neck cancer

This trial collects tissue and health information to find the best treatment for your head and neck cancer. It may help guide your care by looking at the genetic details of your tumor.

NCT04567056Recruiting
Tested blood or tissue patterns in head and neck cancer

This study looks at specific genetic “methylation” patterns in people with head and neck squamous cell carcinoma. The results may help doctors understand the disease better and identify who may benefit from future treatments.

Aalborg
NCT02572778Recruiting
Study using patient tumor samples in head and neck cancer

This study uses tumor tissue taken from people with head and neck cancer, then grows it in a lab to better understand the cancer and predict responses. If you have a new or returning cancer and can share key medical details and follow-up information, you may be able to take part.

Brussels
NCT04099290Recruiting
Blood DNA test in newly diagnosed head and neck cancer

This study looks at “circulating tumor DNA” (tumor DNA found in blood) in people with newly diagnosed, locally advanced head and neck squamous cell cancer. Researchers want to see how the blood DNA levels relate to the cancer and how it may guide treatment after surgery.

Study of new treatment targets for head and neck cancers

This study looks at new ways to target head and neck cancers. It may help researchers learn which treatment ideas could work better for people with these cancers.
