Who can take part

  • You have a type of head and neck cancer called squamous cell carcinoma.
  • Your first treatment plan is a combination of chemotherapy (with a platinum drug) and radiation.
  • You are able to do daily activities without much help (ECOG score 0 to 2).
  • You are able to safely have an MRI scan (no metal implants, pacemaker, or severe claustrophobia).
  • Your treatment is meant to cure, not just control symptoms (not palliative).
