Who can take part

  • You have asthma diagnosed by a specialist or test results that support asthma (like response to methacholine or breathing medicine).
  • Your lung function test (FEV1) is within the study’s acceptable range.
  • You can give informed consent to join the study.
  • You do not have diabetes with fasting blood sugar above 110 mg/dL.
  • You do not have milk or coconut allergies, and you can stick to the study diet plan.
  • You are not a current smoker, and you have not smoked more than 10 pack-years in the past.
  • You do not have major other health problems that could interfere (for example, serious heart or kidney disease that is not controlled).
