Who can take part

  • Be age 18 or older and be able to give informed consent
  • If you can get pregnant, have a negative pregnancy test
  • Have a normal hemoglobin level (>12.5 g/dL) on the day of the study
  • Do not currently smoke (no current smoking) and have a negative urine nicotine test
  • Be at least 50 kg in body weight
  • Avoid certain recent blood-related issues (no recent major blood transfusions/iron/erythropoietin; no low hemoglobin in the last 90 days; no large blood donation in the last 56 days)
