This study looks at how thinking and memory change over time in adults with HIV and compares them with adults without HIV. Researchers will do regular visits and brain/cognitive testing to understand what affects thinking and memory and to learn what might help.

Who can take part
- Be 18 years or older and able to sign consent
- Speak, read, and understand English well enough for testing (at least 7th grade level)
- Agree to store blood and tissue for future research
- Be willing to stay in the study for up to 20 years
- If you have HIV: have HIV-1 infection, be under ongoing medical care, and have stable treatment for at least 1 year with low virus levels
