Who can take part

  • You are between birth (newborn) and age 90
  • You have kidney failure that is being treated with peritoneal dialysis (PD)
  • You either are having planned abdominal surgery, or you have already finished PD and/or a kidney transplant
  • Your doctors expect limited belly conditions, such as hernia repair or gallstone surgery
  • You (or your legal guardian/parents for minors) can give consent in writing and orally
