Who can take part
- You must be an adult (over 18 years old) with a confirmed desmoid tumor that can be removed (resectable).
- Your desmoid tumor must have been proven by pathology (a biopsy or surgery sample).
- You can have had prior treatment (chemotherapy, radiation, or surgery) for the desmoid tumor.
- You must not have spread of cancer to other parts of the body (no metastatic disease).
- Your liver and kidney blood tests must be within allowed ranges (no more than about 2x–2.5x the normal limits).
- You must be able and willing to follow all study visits and steps, and you must be able to give consent; also you cannot be pregnant or nursing, and you must not be allergic/intolerant to 5-ALA or have porphyria.
