99mTc heart scan test for blocked heart arteries

This trial studies a heart scan medicine (99mTc-ECDG) to help evaluate coronary artery disease, a condition caused by narrowed heart arteries. It compares how well the scan works and looks at safety while you undergo standard heart stress imaging.

Who can take part

  • You are over 18 years old
  • You either had a recent standard heart rest/stress scan (within 30 days) and are planning a coronary angiogram, or you already have an angiogram planned/completed within 30 days and will still do the standard scan for the study
  • You can sign informed consent and follow the study schedule
  • Your heart medicines are not changing between the study’s scan visits
  • You can safely do the required stress test (exercise treadmill or medicine-based stress) and can lie still about 30 minutes for the images
  • You must not be pregnant or nursing, and you must use reliable birth control if you could become pregnant
