Long-term registry for new or worsening lung scarring

Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis, Interstitial Lung Disease

This study collects health information over time from people with newly diagnosed idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) or other lung scarring diseases that are getting worse. It’s meant to better understand disease patterns and outcomes, which may help doctors plan future care.

Who can take part

  • You are able and willing to sign informed consent
  • You are 21 years or older
  • You were newly diagnosed within the last 12 months if you have IPF
  • Or you have another type of interstitial lung disease that shows ongoing scarring on CT scan or biopsy, and has been “progressing” in the last 24 months
  • In the past 24 months, your breathing tests and/or symptoms or CT scan findings must have worsened by specific amounts (such as a drop in FVC or DLCO, or more breathing symptoms and more scarring on imaging)
  • You are not currently in an interventional drug/study trial and you’re not already on a lung transplant waiting list
