Near-infrared scan test in children with heart failure

Who can take part

  • You are under 25 years old and have heart failure
  • Your heart condition fits cardiomyopathy, myocarditis, or a specific congenital heart issue called univentricular palliation
  • Your symptoms are stable on your current heart medicines (not getting worse right now)
  • You do not have an active infection
  • You do not have autoimmune vasculitis (an immune-related inflammation affecting blood vessels)
  • You do not have severe anemia (hemoglobin under 7 g/dL) or problems with blood flow in the arms/legs (peripheral vascular disease)
