  • You are under 21 years old.
  • You are scheduled for a planned heart surgery or heart catheterization with general anesthesia.
  • You will have an arterial line placed as part of your routine care for the procedure.
  • You do not have any skin or head abnormalities that would prevent the sensor from working properly.
  • Your doctors can get blood samples from an artery using standard methods.
