- Be seen for symptoms and exam signs of sudden (acute) worsening heart failure that need urgent treatment
- Have symptoms such as shortness of breath, leg swelling, or unusual tiredness that are new or getting worse

- Have a blood test called BNP greater than 100 ng/L
