Who can take part

  • You have a dual-chamber permanent pacemaker or defibrillator
  • Your device was implanted within the last 10 years
  • You do not have atrial fibrillation found on a standard heart tracing (ECG) or heart monitoring (Holter/telemetry)
  • Your doctor expects you to live at least 2 years
  • You are not pregnant and not breast-feeding
  • You do not have congenital (from-birth) heart disease or inherited rhythm conditions
