Test a kidney scan to spot early blockage in newborns

Ureteropelvic Junction Obstruction

Who can take part

  • Your baby is 4 to 8 weeks old
  • Your baby was diagnosed before birth with a kidney-to-ureter blockage (UPJO) by ultrasound
  • After birth, the ultrasound showed UPJO with a measurement of at least 15 mm between day 1 and day 15
  • The blockage is only on one side (not both kidneys/ureters)
  • A parent/legal guardian can sign informed consent, and at least one parent is covered by national social security
