Who can take part
- You have liver metastases (spread) from colon or rectal adenocarcinoma confirmed by biopsy
- There are no metastases outside the liver that can’t be treated at the same time
- Your doctors can remove or fully treat the tumors with R0 surgery (no cancer left behind) and/or complete ablation
- Your liver has enough healthy tissue left after surgery (about 30–40% or more), and at least 2–3 liver sections would remain
- Tumors are small (3 cm or less) and not too many (3 or fewer), and there’s enough space from key blood ducts/tubes
- You can have either surgery or ablation safely with acceptable overall health and anesthesia risk
