Pembrolizumab for early triple-negative breast cancer tumor changes
Part of Cancer, Skin clinical trials.
This Phase 1 study tests pembrolizumab (an immune medicine) to see how it affects the tumor and its surroundings in triple-negative breast cancer. It’s mainly looking at safety and early signs of benefit, especially in a limited, early-stage breast tumor.
Summary written for real people, not researchers, by Clin2.
Who can take part
- You’re willing to sign consent (if you’re 21+) and follow study visits and procedures.
- Your breast cancer is invasive and “triple negative” (estrogen, progesterone, and HER2 tests are negative, with small exceptions up to 10%).
- Your main breast tumor is 3 cm or smaller and only in one area of the breast.
- Your lymph nodes are not showing cancer and you do not have cancer spread to other organs.
- You haven’t had cancer treatment for this (including radiation or breast surgery) in the last 6 months.
- If you can become pregnant, your pregnancy test is negative and you will use reliable birth control during the study and for 120 days after the last dose.

This trial studies whether adding pembrolizumab (an immunotherapy) to standard chemotherapy after surgery can improve outcomes for people with early-stage triple-negative breast cancer. The treatment you receive depends on the level of immune cells (TILs) found in your tumor.
This Phase 2 trial studies a treatment plan given before surgery (neoadjuvant) and after surgery (adjuvant) for people with BRCA1/2-mutated triple negative breast cancer that has not spread. It aims to improve how well the cancer responds and how long people stay cancer-free.
This trial tests if continuing pembrolizumab after surgery can help prevent breast cancer from coming back in people with triple-negative breast cancer who still had some cancer after initial chemo and pembrolizumab before surgery.
This trial tests a new combination of two immunotherapy drugs (INBRX-106 and pembrolizumab) given before surgery for people with early-stage triple-negative breast cancer. The goal is to see if this treatment can shrink the tumor and improve outcomes.
This trial tests whether adding the immunotherapy drug pembrolizumab (Keytruda) to standard chemotherapy (carboplatin + paclitaxel) before surgery can improve outcomes for people with early-stage triple-negative breast cancer. It aims to shrink the tumor and increase the chance of a complete response.
This early-phase study tests pembrolizumab (an immune therapy) combined with ADG106 in people with advanced solid tumors, and specifically triple-negative breast cancer. It looks at whether the treatment can shrink tumors and improve outcomes for cancers that are progressing despite prior therapy.
