Who can take part

  • You can understand the study and agree to sign a consent form
  • You are age 18 to 40 and your BMI is 18 to 40 (or meet the PCOS criteria below)
  • You must fit one of the study groups: female or male (general group), or a PCOS group with specific hormone/ovulation and insulin-resistance signs
  • If you can become pregnant, you must use very reliable birth control starting at least 3 months before and during the study
  • You must not have certain health problems (especially diabetes, uncontrolled blood pressure, heart rhythm issues, or thyroid problems)
