Who can take part
- You are between 18 and 80 years old.
- You have end-stage kidney disease and have been on hemodialysis (about 3 times a week) for at least 3 months.
- You are generally stable and have not had major surgery or a heart or blood vessel event in the past 6 months.
- Your blood pressure is not too high (below 180/110).
- You haven't had a blood transfusion in the last 3 months.
- If you are a woman who could become pregnant, you must use non-hormonal birth control or be post-menopausal.
