Who can take part
- You are a biological first-degree relative of a woman (age 18–50) who had a blood clot during hormone use
- You (and the family) agree in writing to be contacted and to join the study
- The family member you are can’t be under 16 years old
- The woman with the clot (the “propositus”) must not have received preventive blood-thinning medication during pregnancy or contraception
- You must be able to provide information (the study can’t proceed if nothing is known about you)
- You must have health insurance coverage
