Who can take part

  • You are over 45 years old, and your doctor expects you to live at least 10 more years
  • You had prior radiation to the prostate area (external-beam radiation or low-dose-rate brachytherapy)
  • At least 3 years have passed since your prior radiation ended
  • You did not have significant late side effects from the earlier radiation (no grade 2 or higher)
  • Your PSA blood test is higher than its lowest point by at least 2 but less than 10
  • Your scans show a single, limited place where the cancer has come back, with no spread to abdomen/pelvis or bones
