Who can take part

  • Your PSA level must have been going up after your prostate was removed.
  • PET and MRI scans must show that the cancer is only in the area where your prostate used to be (the prostate bed).
  • The cancer spot must be visible on a transrectal ultrasound so the doctor can guide the treatment needles.
  • The cancer must not have spread to other parts of your body (no distant metastases).
  • You must be healthy enough to tolerate the procedure and have a life expectancy of at least 5 years.
