This Phase 3 trial studies additional (adjuvant) treatment after kidney cancer surgery, to lower the chance the cancer comes back. It tests immunotherapy drugs (durvalumab and tremelimumab) in people whose scans show no visible remaining cancer after operation.

Who can take part
- You have had kidney cancer removed and the cancer was confirmed under the microscope (except certain rare types like pure oncocytoma, collecting duct, medullary, or transitional cell cancer).
- Your most recent CT scan shows no visible remaining (macroscopic) cancer after surgery.
- Your surgery must have been between 28 and 91 days before randomization, and you had post-op scans within 28 days before randomization.
- Your tumor risk level must match the trial’s “Leibovich score” range (3–11), as decided at the start of recruitment.
- You must be 18+ and healthy enough for treatment tests: good blood counts, liver labs, and kidney function, and an ECG with QTcF under 450 ms.
- You must be able to provide stored tumor tissue and a baseline blood sample, and agree to follow contraception rules (and not breastfeed).
