Who can take part
- Your breast cancer is invasive ductal cancer confirmed by biopsy (not other types like lobular cancer).
- The tumor is limited to one breast and meets size/location needs (about 15 mm or less on ultrasound).
- Your lymph node exam is “N0” (no signs your cancer has reached lymph nodes).
- Your breast size is at least a bra cup B (cup size A usually does not qualify).
- The tumor is clearly visible on MRI and not too close to the skin (about at least 10 mm away).
- You can have an MRI safely and lie still on your stomach with one arm positioned for about 1 hour.
