Build a tumor and DNA bank for people with neurofibromatosis

Neurofibromatoses

Part of Bones, joints & muscles, Brain & nervous system, Cancer, Genetic & congenital clinical trials.

This study is collecting tumor samples and related information to help researchers better understand neurofibromatosis-related tumors. Your participation may support future tests and treatments, but it is mainly focused on building a research “biobank.”

Who can take part

  • You (or your child) have a diagnosis or suspected diagnosis of neurofibromatosis-associated tumors
  • If you’re joining as a family member: you must be a biological parent or a full biological sibling
  • You can provide the needed information and samples for the biobank (as the study requests)
  • You must be of Asian background (non-Asian participants are not eligible)

NCT01109394Recruiting
Help study tumors with sample testing and a research biology library

This study collects tumor (or related) samples to analyze their genes and build a shared research “biobank.” It may help researchers understand cancers better for future diagnosis and treatments.

NCT05192980Recruiting
Register people with certain neuroblastic tumors in an international study

This study creates an international registry linked to a virtual biobank, so researchers can collect and share information and biological samples for patients with specific peripheral neuroblastic tumors. It may help future research and care planning by improving what scientists know about these conditions.

Prague
NCT00131014Recruiting
Building a family tumor and genetics bank for blood cancers

This study collects and stores tumor/tissue information and family medical history from people with certain blood cancers. It aims to help researchers understand why these illnesses may run in families and use genetic clues for future research.

Boston, Massachusetts
NCT06880991Recruiting
Study on visible tumors in neurofibromatosis type 1

This study talks with people who have NF1 (and caregivers of children with NF1) about how visible tumors affect them. The goal is to create questionnaires that measure these concerns, which could lead to better support and treatments.

Bethesda, Maryland
NCT05489783Recruiting
Study board for adults with NF1 and glioma

This study collects and reviews past and future health records for adults who have both neurofibromatosis type 1 (NF1) and a brain tumor called glioma. The goal is to better understand these conditions and how they progress, which can help guide future research and care.

NCT05238909Enrolling by invitation
Tracking tumor burden in people with NF1

This study looks for better ways to measure how much tumor activity people with neurofibromatosis type 1 (NF1) have over time. The goal is to develop “biomarkers,” which are test results that may help doctors track disease more easily.
