Who can take part
- You have a recent HIV infection (early diagnosis within the past 6 months) based on test results and/or symptoms and risk contact
- You can give written informed consent
- You can return for the study visits you are assigned (full schedule for one group, partial for another)
- You are willing to give blood and tissue samples that may be stored long-term for future research
- You do not have certain major health problems, including prior AIDS-related infections, active hepatitis B or C, certain heart/brain blood vessel diseases, cancer, or pregnancy/breastfeeding
- Your screening blood tests and health status must meet safety thresholds, and you must be able to follow the study without major substance use or recent severe illness
