Part of Brain & nervous system, Injuries & trauma clinical trials.

This study looks at measurable “pain signals” (biomarkers) in people with certain headache disorders or lumbar nerve pain, and compares them with healthy people. It may help researchers better understand what drives pain and how it can be detected.

Study for cluster headaches and trigeminal nerve pain

This study looks at people with certain severe headache disorders (cluster-type headaches or SUNCT/SUNA) or trigeminal neuralgia (sharp facial nerve pain). Researchers want to better understand these conditions and see how study testing/record review may help care.

NCT07514208Enrolling by invitation
Headache Sensitivity and Pain Testing Study

This study examines how sensitive the skin and tissues around the head are in people with migraines or tension headaches. Researchers will perform gentle touch and pressure tests to understand pain patterns, which may help improve headache treatment in the future.

Study of Pain Patterns Over Time in Kids

This study follows kids who have a specific type of chronic pain (headaches, stomach pain, or muscle/joint pain) to better understand how pain changes over time. It also checks whether certain factors are linked to those pain patterns.

Understanding Pain Patterns in Migraine and Neck or Back Pain

This study explores how migraine headaches, neck pain, and lower back pain may share similar pain mechanisms in the body. Researchers will ask you questions to understand your pain patterns and help identify connections between these conditions.

Tear Biomarkers for Migraine Study

This study looks at tear samples to find biomarkers that could help diagnose migraine. It involves people with migraine and healthy volunteers.

NCT04937010Recruiting
Nerve stimulation for chronic nerve-related head pain

This trial studies whether stimulating a nerve in the back of the head can reduce chronic cluster-like or related headache attacks. It’s for people whose headaches did not improve after trying several standard prevention treatments.
