Who can take part
- You are 18 years or older
- You have septic shock (a serious infection causing dangerously low blood pressure) that started within 4 hours of needing blood pressure medications
- You have acute kidney injury (AKI)—a sudden loss of kidney function—rated as mild or moderate severity
- You are covered by French social security insurance
- You do not have advanced chronic kidney disease (stage 4 or 5 with very low kidney function)
- Your kidney injury is not caused by blockage or other structural problems
