  • You have a severe infection called sepsis that affects your whole body
  • You are 18 years or older
  • A special kidney ultrasound (RRI) can be done at your bedside
  • You are not on dialysis and your kidney function is not very low
  • You have not had a kidney transplant
  • You are not pregnant
