Gut microbiome study for ulcerative colitis and Crohn disease

Inflammatory Bowel DiseasesUlcerative ColitisCrohn Disease

Part of Digestive system, Mental health clinical trials.

This study looks at how changes in gut bacteria (the microbiome) relate to inflammatory bowel disease, including ulcerative colitis and Crohn disease. It may help researchers understand what might improve symptoms or disease control.

Biobank study of gut microbes, genes, and blood chemistry

This study collects samples to learn how gut microbes, genetics, and body chemistry may relate to Crohn’s disease or ulcerative colitis. Your information and samples may help researchers understand disease patterns, but it does not test a new drug.

NCT05733702Recruiting
Study of Crohn’s and ulcerative colitis treatment changes

This study follows adults with Crohn’s disease or ulcerative colitis when their treatment is changed. It collects health information and samples to better understand how treatment changes affect people over time.

NCT07619547Not yet recruiting
Bowel disease immune system study

This study is looking at how the immune system works in people with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), which includes conditions like Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis. By comparing blood or tissue samples from people with and without IBD, researchers hope to find better ways to treat the disease in the future.

NCT01140789Recruiting
Study comparing people with and without bowel inflammation

This study looks at people with inflammatory bowel disease (Crohn’s disease or ulcerative colitis) and compares them with people without it. Researchers want to understand differences that may help explain or better detect the disease.

NCT00001184Recruiting
Studying the immune system in Crohn's and colitis

This study collects blood and tissue samples to better understand how the immune system behaves in people with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), which includes Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis. It aims to advance research rather than test a specific new treatment, and it also enrolls healthy volunteers for comparison.

Bethesda, Maryland
NCT06494826Recruiting
Study of gut bacteria and proteins in new Crohn's disease patients

This study looks at proteins from your body and gut bacteria to understand Crohn's disease better. You may join if you are about to have your first colonoscopy for suspected Crohn's and have not had any treatment yet.
