Who can take part
- Be age 28 days to under 18 years
- Be on hemodialysis for kidney disease and have secondary hyperparathyroidism confirmed by lab tests
- Have very high parathyroid hormone (two blood tests on separate days) above 300 pg/mL
- Meet calcium requirements from central lab (higher threshold for babies under 2 years)
- Have dialysis solution calcium at or above a set minimum level for at least 4 weeks
- Be able to stay on a stable dosing plan for certain vitamin D, phosphate binders, or calcium supplements before screening
