Who can take part
- Have lung cancer confirmed on biopsy as non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC)
- Have stage III disease with involvement that may still be removable by surgery (including certain N2 nodes)
- Be 20 years or older, and agree to sign consent forms before any study tests
- Be able to do daily activities fairly well (ECOG 0 or 1)
- Blood tests must be strong enough (for example hemoglobin ≥9, neutrophils ≥1500, platelets ≥100,000)
- Heart/liver/kidney tests must meet limits, and you must have at least 6 months expected survival
