Who can take part

  • You are scheduled for a minimally invasive TAVI approved by your local heart team
  • Your TAVI plan uses the groin (transfemoral) approach
  • The procedure is planned with local anesthesia or light sedation (not general anesthesia)
  • The team will not use a TEE camera to guide the valve (no TEE guidance)
  • You are not having a valve-in-valve replacement, and you don’t have moderate or worse leaking at the mitral valve
  • You are not scheduled for certain medicines around the procedure (ticagrelor or prasugrel, or a direct oral blood thinner)
