Exercise program for people on dialysis

This trial studies whether a structured exercise program (using Nordic walking poles) is safe and helpful for adults with end-stage kidney disease who are on dialysis. You may be eligible if you can do the exercise safely and are able to consent.

Who can take part

  • You are an adult (18+) living with end-stage kidney disease
  • You have been on dialysis (peritoneal or hemodialysis) for more than 6 months
  • You can understand English or French and can give informed consent
  • You can safely use Nordic walking poles for mobility/exercise
  • Your daily activity is not already very high (step count is 8000 steps/day or less at the start)
