Who can take part

  • You have prostate cancer confirmed by biopsy (prostate adenocarcinoma).
  • Your cancer is considered low risk (T1 to T2a, PSA under 10, Gleason 6) or intermediate risk without a specific higher-grade pattern (no Gleason 7 with pattern 4+3).
  • Your doctors decided you should receive a curative treatment using brachytherapy (seed radiation), after a team review.
  • You are not currently receiving hormone-blocking treatment (androgen deprivation therapy).
  • You can safely receive seed radiation and MRI: no iodine 125 brachytherapy issues (like prostate size over 50 cc) and you can tolerate MRI (not severe claustrophobia, and no pacemaker).
