Who can take part

  • Be age 18 or older and agree to join and get treatment in this study
  • Have a confirmed diagnosis of prostate adenocarcinoma (a specific type of prostate cancer)
  • Be well enough to do daily activities (ECOG 0–2, meaning not severely limited)
  • Have not had prior radiation or certain prostate/pelvic procedures like brachytherapy or radical prostate surgery
  • No evidence that cancer has spread to lymph nodes or distant sites on recent scans (when scans are needed)
  • Not have conditions that can make radiation unsafe, such as inflammatory bowel disease or certain connective tissue disorders
